Is the online advertising efficient?

Until now, the Internet approved that it is the most powerful media for finding information that humanity ever knew. In 2001, The Internet Advertising Bureau reported that a dramatic growth of online advertising expenses , of almost 161%. And the reason for that was that the business on Internet , the commerce was growing and diversifying so much , passed the most optimistic forecasts.
But, to have an prosperous business on the Internet we must know and keep in mind that some rules. Because of the fact that this market has became accessible to almost everyone, it has developed very much and very fast. Like every communication or promotion media , the site that we choose to make our advertising must be one who attract the people. The hyper-space is or not measurable, like some specialists in this domain said. No matter what would be the answer, the fact is that the Internet growth is extraordinary. The number of commercial sites increase alarming, with almost 5000 for day. So, this hyperspace, like also says his name, is very big, and inside of it coexists an almost unlimited number of competitors, which aim to attract the public on their side and also more and more revenues. But, these must know also that, a person visits daily, on average, no more than seven sites. Plus, the mixed use of the Internet for commercial sites, personal sites and educational sites, creates confusion regarding the optimal place in which to place ours advertising messages.
Although the Internet has emerged from the need to be informed of the people, like an academic instrument, now is changing into something so commercial, unbalanced the balance of advertising industry for a long time now on.
Once the people began to use intensive the network, the others media, especially those written , like newspapers and magazines have appealed too to Internet and opened on-line editions, much cheaper than those printed and more convenient for readers.
This media was offering to publications, besides a much larger audience, the possibility to have links between articles or other publications and that allowed a better information for the public.
Most of the websites, talking here about of few hundreds of thousands, are owned by companies that prefer to make known themselves by so-called home-pages , thinking that so they will attract more clients.
However, although the fixed content of a Web page can be produced cheaply by several amateurs, the building and the maintenance of a creative and effective content of this field by professionals can cost a lot.
Now, have appeared newer methods and the publications try to adopt them to recover the costs, one of them being to sell the access to certain materials, like when you're forced to buy product from newsstand.
